A general dentist completes four years of dental school. An orthodontist completes those four years and then a full three-year residency dedicated entirely to tooth movement, jaw growth, and bite correction. That extra training is the reason your treatment can take less time, require fewer adjustments, and finish with results that last.

Our Approach to Cost — Transparency, Not Tricks
When you compare orthodontic prices, the lowest sticker price rarely tells the full story. Watch out for offices that:
- Charge "extension fees" if treatment runs past 24 months. This gives the office an incentive to keep your braces on longer.
- Hit you with broken-bracket fees, missed-appointment fees, and cancellation fees that can add hundreds to thousands to your total.
- Use lower-cost imported braces that move teeth slowly, requiring 10 to 15 extra adjustment visits over the course of treatment.
We use American Orthodontics self-ligating braces (made in Sheboygan, Wisconsin) paired with NASA-developed nickel titanium wire alloys. Better materials move teeth faster, with less pressure, fewer extractions, and fewer office visits. The total cost of treatment, your dollars, your time, your comfort, is what matters. We give you that number up front.

For 18 years, Woolaver Orthodontics has been the most recognizable youth-activity sponsor in the Foothills. Little League, the YMCA, school events, the Festival of Lights, if it brings Ahwatukee kids and families together, we've supported it. The practice has given back over $250,000 to the community, and Dr. Woolaver still bumps into former Little League players in the office today, sometimes as adult Invisalign patients themselves.
We chose Ahwatukee because we love it here. Our families share schools with yours, the Kyrene District elementary and middle schools that feed into Mountain Pointe and Desert Vista High Schools.
